Marco Asensio presented with the possibility of making a surprising comeback to La Liga in 2024

Marco Asensio might make a return to La Liga in 2024 following a mixed debut season at Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish player chose a free transfer to Paris after leaving Real Madrid last season.

However, his time in the French capital has been inconsistent, struggling to secure a permanent spot in the starting lineup. According to the latest report from Diario AS, Real Sociedad is contemplating making a move for him as they aim for success in the Champions League this year.

Real Sociedad is set to face PSG in this season’s last 16, creating an intriguing possibility for Asensio, even though his eligibility for the match might be uncertain.

If Real Sociedad pursues Asensio, it would likely be a loan deal until the season’s end, as PSG remains open-minded about his future, particularly with Ali Cho’s anticipated move to Nice.

Although the Basque side is seeking reinforcements, securing Asensio could involve higher wage contributions compared to other potential targets.
