Bayern Munich Signs Eric Dier from Tottenham
Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with Tottenham for the transfer of defender Eric Dier, as reported by Sky Sports News’ Florian Plettenberg and Michael Bridge. The deal is valued at £3.4m (€4m), reflecting Dier’s remaining six months on his Tottenham contract. The 29-year-old is currently in Munich for a medical examination.
This move comes after Bayern Munich’s initial target, Radu Dragusin, chose to join Spurs instead. Despite being cautious about potential last-minute complications, Bayern’s manager, Thomas Tuchel, discussed the pending deal at a press conference, highlighting Dier’s versatility as a central defender and holding midfielder. Tuchel also mentioned the ongoing focus on other positions and the possibility of additional developments in the squad.
