Jaime Ffrench: Elite Wide Receiver’s Recruitment Shifts After Nick Saban’s Retirement
Jaime Ffrench, the standout wide receiver from Mandarin High School, stands out as one of the premier pass catchers in the upcoming recruiting cycle. Initially committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide, Ffrench reconsidered his commitment following the retirement of legendary head coach Nick Saban. This has opened the door for several prominent programs, with the Tennessee Volunteers among those expressing interest.
Tennessee’s prospects received a boost when quarterback George MacIntyre from Brentwood Academy committed to the Vols on Monday. Ffrench and MacIntyre share a pre-existing relationship, and MacIntyre is actively involved in recruiting him. Ranked as the No. 12 prospect in the 2025 class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Ffrench holds the position of the No. 3 wide receiver in the class, marking him as one of the emerging elite receivers from Jacksonville, Florida.
In a conversation with 247Sports’s Steve Wiltfong, Ffrench disclosed that his current top three choices include Florida State, Miami, and Ohio State. He also expressed interest in schools such as Georgia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Notre Dame. Volquest’s Austin Price reported that Ffrench and Tennessee are in the process of arranging an unofficial visit this spring, presenting a significant opportunity for the coaching staff.
