After Frisman Jackson’s departure, Pittsburgh Steelers Rumored to Hire Hines Ward as Replacement.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have parted ways with wide receiver coach Frisman Jackson, creating another opening in their offensive coaching staff. Almost immediately, speculation arose about who the team might hire next.

Following Jackson’s departure, the name of former Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward quickly dominated discussions among fans, radio shows, and media outlets. Is Ward destined for a coaching role with the Steelers? Did they let go of Jackson to make room for him?

Possibly, but it’s unlikely. While Ward certainly has the credentials to warrant consideration for a coaching position in the NFL beyond just an offensive assistant role, which he previously held, it doesn’t necessarily mean the Steelers are actively pursuing him.

Instead, it seems more likely that this vacancy was created to accommodate Arthur Smith’s plans to bring in fresh talent and shape his coaching staff. There’s already one candidate on their radar for this purpose.

For the Steelers, this is another opportunity to aim high, and Ward may not necessarily fit the mold of the prospect they’re seeking.
