Manchester United to Recruit Sam Williams, Head of Recruitment at Ipswich Town

Manchester United are reportedly interested in recruiting Sam Williams, head of recruitment at Championship side Ipswich Town.

This news surfaces as Sir Jim Ratcliffe finalizes his partial 25% investment in United, granting him full sporting control once ratified.

Already instrumental in Omar Berrada’s appointment as Richard Arnold’s successor, Ratcliffe aims to appoint a new sporting director shortly.

According to journalist Alan Nixon, United seeks to revamp their scouting team for the Ratcliffe era, eyeing Ipswich Town’s Sam Williams.

Williams, a former analyst and scout at Old Trafford, joined Ipswich in April 2022, contributing to their success under manager Kieran McKenna.

While Ipswich may attempt to retain Williams, the allure of returning to Manchester United could be compelling.
