Mike Conley Inked a two-year, $21 million contract extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
For at least another two years, Mike Conley will remain with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The former Ohio State point guard has agreed to a $21 million contract extension over two years, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday.
Conley, now in his 17th NBA season, joined the Timberwolves last season after a trade from the Utah Jazz. As the team’s starting point guard this season, he has been instrumental in their success, boasting a record of 39-16, the best in the Western Conference, while averaging 10.6 points and 6.4 assists per game.
Conley, who led Ohio State alongside Greg Oden to a national championship game appearance in the 2006-07 season, was set to become a free agent after this season. With this extension, Conley’s career earnings will reach nearly $300 million, having already earned over $274 million in his first 17 NBA seasons, according to Spotrac.
