Detroit Tigers reassign Pitching Prospects Jackson Jobe, four others in first round of spring training cuts

The Detroit Tigers made roster adjustments in the first round of spring training cuts, with Jackson Jobe, Ty Madden, and Brant Hurter among the reassigned players. Evan Petzold reported that Jobe, ranked No. 3 in the Tigers’ prospects, has been optioned to Triple-A Toledo, while Madden and Hurter, ranked No. 5 and No. 16, respectively, were reassigned to minor-league camp.

The Tigers also optioned right-handed reliever Brendan White to Triple-A Toledo. Manager A.J. Hinch emphasized that these decisions do not imply the players won’t return as backup players in spring training games. Despite not making the Opening Day roster, these prospects remain integral parts of the team’s plans.
