Baltimore Ravens Fans Bid Farewell to Pro Bowl Quarterback Following Move to Divisional Rival

Baltimore Ravens bolster roster by acquiring star running back Derrick Henry in free agency, solidifying their ground game as one of the most formidable in the league. Despite retaining key players, positioning themselves for another Super Bowl push in 2024, the Ravens faced a setback as their Pro Bowl quarterback departed for a divisional rival.

Quarterback Tyler Huntley, a former Raven, has joined the Cleveland Browns, adding depth to their quarterback corps alongside Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, and Dorian Thompson Robinson. Huntley’s journey to the Pro Bowl began during the 2022-2023 season when he stepped in for the injured Lamar Jackson in Baltimore.

During his Pro Bowl season, Huntley saw action in just five regular-season games, tallying 203 passing yards and three touchdowns. In 2021, he played seven games, amassing 1,081 passing yards and three touchdowns, his most successful season to date. Throughout his career, Huntley has accumulated 1,957 passing yards and eight touchdowns, now poised to compete for a starting role in Cleveland.

While some Ravens fans view Huntley’s departure with indifference, others express well wishes for his future, despite his move to their longstanding rivals. As Huntley navigates a competitive quarterback environment in Cleveland, speculation arises regarding his potential playing time, particularly amid ongoing concerns surrounding Watson’s off-field issues. The question remains: Will Huntley secure significant playing time with the Browns, or will he serve as a backup quarterback during his tenure with the team?
