Anthony Milford Suspended for Two Games Following Off-the-Ball Collision in NRL Match Between Dolphins and Brisbane Broncos

Dolphins player Anthony Milford received a two-game suspension after a disciplinary action for an off-the-ball collision with Broncos’ Reece Walsh.

The incident occurred in the first half, where Milford made contact with Walsh despite him not being in possession of the ball, although it was signaled by Kotoni Staggs. Milford seemed to attempt an apology, yet no penalty was awarded as Staggs was offside during the play. Referee Adam Gee placed Milford on report for the incident, prompting criticism from NRL figure Paul Vautin.

Additionally, the match review committee sanctioned Milford with a two-game suspension, which could extend to three if he contests and is found guilty.

Meanwhile, Broncos’ Jordan Riki received a $1000 fine for a careless high tackle on Jack Bostock in the first half. Despite these incidents, Brisbane emerged victorious with a 28-14 win.
