Ingrid (Julianne Moore) and Martha (Tilda Swinton) were close friends in their youth when they worked together at the same magazine. Ingrid became a car novelist and Martha a war reporter, and life circumstances drove them apart. After many years of separation, they meet again in an extreme but strangely cute situation.
