Amid the stark discord between the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun, two sisters fight on rival sides in a war between magical technologies and clashing beliefs. Fortiche Productions made a music video for Riot in 2013 called “Get Jinxed,” featuring Jinx and the city of Piltover. Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to make an animated series, which took several years. After the release of the first season, Riot announced that there would be a second season and that it would take less time to produce.

I watched it with my parents, who know nothing about the League universe
I’ve been playing League since 2010, so my opinion might be a bit biased, but my parents were pleasantly surprised. They said that sometimes it was a little obvious that this series is geared more towards a young adult audience. A little use of pop songs and the villain going a bit over the top with his twirled mustache. But overall, they liked the first three episodes and wouldn’t mind watching the rest in their free time.
As for me: I loved it!
It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Riot’s art department has always been at its best. And given Fortiche’s track record, I knew there was little chance of messing up here. Knowing Riot’s art department, they have an excellent story, well-written characters, and a world full of lore to pull elements from.
All in all, this show is very well done
And it features some of the best talent Riot has to offer. 9/10: Amazing. We’ve rounded up all the anime series and movies we could find – created or distributed by Netflix – to see which ones are performing best according to IMDb users.
